Roll 24 · Frame 12 · ISO 400

Diwas shoots
things that move.

Software engineer by day. Photographer the rest of the time. A small collection of frames from Nepal — mountains that wake up early, cities that refuse to sleep, and people who make both worth photographing.

Chapter 01

The Natural World

Nature · Landscape · Astro · Flower

Mountain's Morning Serenade
● REC · Kalinchowk, Nepal

Mountain's Morning Serenade

First light grazes the Himalaya. The valley is still asleep under a quilt of cloud.

Mirror Images
● REC · A wooden house

Mirror Images

Two kittens, one frame, identical mischief. They held the pose for exactly 0.3 seconds.

Glassy Afternoon
● REC · San Marcos, Texas

Glassy Afternoon

A lone boat glides through a mirror of cypress and sky. The river barely notices.

Chapter 02

Cityscapes & Structures

Architecture · Real estate · Aerial

A Resurgent Horizon
● REC · Kathmandu, Nepal

A Resurgent Horizon

A rebuilt 1832 view tower, lost in the 2015 earthquake. Resilience, in concrete and brass.

Eternal Timekeeper
● REC · Kathmandu, Nepal

Eternal Timekeeper

Kathmandu's oldest clock tower. One man winds it every day so the city can keep its rhythm.

Cables & Constellations
● REC · Brooklyn Bridge, NYC

Cables & Constellations

A symmetry only engineers and photographers fully appreciate. Manhattan winks back through the rigging.

Chapter 03

Work With People

Portrait · Headshot · Fashion

Curiosity Unleashed
● REC · Shree Okharpauwa Secondary School, Nuwakot

Curiosity Unleashed

The pure essence of childhood — captured during a rural immersion camp.

Adorned in Haku Patasi, playing the Dhimay at Kathmandu's biggest religious street festival.

Dashain Delight
● REC · Bara, Terai

Tika on his forehead, kurtha pressed, counting the blessings (and rupees) from elders.

The Backswing

A small figure, a big sky, and the satisfying tock of a well-struck drive somewhere off frame.

Catch of the Day
● REC · Canyon Lake, Texas

Reeled in dinner (or at least lunch). The fish disagrees with the framing.

A father drives a bus 14 hours a day so his children can stay in school.

Off-set / Things he does when not pressing the shutter

A camera is a small excuse to show up for people.

2018 · Grade 9

Tornado Relief Campaign

We highschool student led a small team raising funds and distributing relief to families hit by a tornado in southern Nepal — over fifty households received essentials. We also worked with the Disaster Relief Force to put up temporary shelters. I learned that community is a verb.

St. Xavier's College, Kathmandu

Rural Immersion Camp

Two days in a school in Nuwakot — cooking meals together, running classroom sessions, playing the kinds of games that don't need wifi. It changed how I think about access, opportunity, and the quiet weight of a village morning.

The unedited reel.

Twelve unranked frames from the camera roll. Some lakes, one airplane, a tent, and a guy who clearly owns one outfit. Treat it as a glimpse behind the portfolio.

README.md

Hello, I'm Diwas.

Diwas Pandit in Times Square, New York
● Self-portrait · Times Square, NYC

I'm a software engineer from Nepal. My day job involves a lot of brackets, semicolons, and the occasional production incident. Photography is the opposite of all of that — analog instinct, no undo button, and a world that refuses to refactor itself for you.

I shoot to remember. Mostly people, mountains, and the in-between hours when a city decides what it wants to be that day. If something here made you smile, pause, or open a new tab to look up Kalinchowk, this site did its job.
